Privacy at a Glance

The short version, in plain English

Here is a quick summary of how Cure.Care treats your personal data. This overview is for easy understanding only — the full, legally binding details are in the sections below.

We collect only what we need

We gather basic information like your email when you subscribe, and anonymous usage data that helps us improve our health content. We never ask for more than necessary.

We never sell your data

Cure.Care does not sell your personal information to third parties. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate, under strict confidentiality.

Your health searches stay private

Reading a health article does not create a medical record. We do not build clinical profiles of you, and any usage analytics are aggregated and de-identified wherever possible.

You are in control

You can access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing at any time. We explain exactly how to exercise each of these rights below.

Ads and cookies are disclosed

We use cookies and partners like Google AdSense to keep our content free. These are clearly disclosed, and you can manage your preferences through our consent tools.

We protect what we hold

We use encryption, access controls, and reputable infrastructure to safeguard your information, and we comply with India's DPDP Act, the GDPR, and other global privacy laws.

Section 01

Information we collect

Cure.Care collects three categories of information: data you give us directly, data collected automatically as you browse, and limited data from trusted third parties. We only collect what is needed to operate our healthcare encyclopedia, keep it free, and improve your experience.

This is information you knowingly share with us, for example when you create an account, subscribe to our newsletter, fill in a form, or contact our support team.

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and (if you provide it) phone number.
  • Account information — login credentials and saved preferences such as bookmarked articles.
  • Communications — the content of messages you send us through forms, email, or support requests.
  • Optional inputs — values you enter into our health tools and calculators (such as age or weight). These are processed in your browser to show results and are not used to build a clinical profile of you.
  • Feedback & reviews — any comments, ratings, or feedback you choose to submit.

When you visit Cure.Care, certain technical information is collected automatically by our systems and analytics tools. This helps us keep the site secure, understand what content is helpful, and improve performance.

  • Device & browser data — device type, operating system, browser, and screen settings.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and referring website, in aggregated form.
  • Approximate location — a general region derived from your IP address (such as city or country), not precise GPS location.
  • Cookies & identifiers — small files and identifiers used for functionality, analytics, and advertising, as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Log data — IP address and server logs used to detect abuse and keep the platform secure.

In limited cases, we receive information about you from trusted external sources, always in line with their own privacy terms.

  • Analytics & advertising partners — aggregated audience and performance insights from providers such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense.
  • Social & sign-in services — if you connect or log in via a third-party service, we may receive your name and email as permitted by that service.
  • Service providers — payment, hosting, or delivery partners that help us complete a transaction you have requested.
Section 02

Cure.Care is free to read because it is partly supported by advertising. To make this clear and to respect your choices, we want you to understand how advertising data works on our site.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to Cure.Care and other websites.

Section 04

How we share & disclose data

Cure.Care does not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted partners who help us operate the site, and only to the extent needed for each purpose. Below are the limited situations in which your data may be shared.

Service providers & processors

We work with vendors who provide hosting, content delivery, email, analytics, and customer support on our behalf. They may access only the data needed to perform their service and are bound by contracts requiring confidentiality and data protection.

Advertising & analytics partners

Partners such as Google AdSense and Google Analytics may receive cookie and usage data to serve ads and measure performance, as described in our Cookie Policy. Where required, this happens only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.

Affiliate & commercial partners

When you click an affiliate link or use a partner offer, the partner may set its own cookies and process limited data under its own privacy terms. We share only what is necessary to complete or attribute that action. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Legal, safety & regulatory reasons

We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Cure.Care.

Business transfers

If Cure.Care is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and ensure any successor continues to honour this Privacy Policy.

What we never do

  • We never sell your personal data to anyone.
  • We never share the values you enter into our health tools with advertisers.
  • We never rent or trade your contact details for marketing by other companies.
  • We never disclose more data than is necessary for the specific, stated purpose.
Section 05

You have meaningful rights over your personal data, and Cure.Care is committed to honouring them. The exact rights available to you depend on where you live, but we aim to offer these protections to all our users wherever we reasonably can.

Right to access

Ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you and request a copy of it.

Right to correction

Ask us to update or correct personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

Right to erasure

Ask us to delete your personal data where there is no legal reason for us to keep it.

Section 06

Data security & retention

We take the security of your personal data seriously and use a combination of technical and organisational safeguards to protect it. We keep your data only for as long as it is needed, then securely delete or anonymise it.

How we protect your data

  • Encryption. Data is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and sensitive data is encrypted where appropriate.
  • Access controls. Access to personal data is limited to authorised people who need it, on a least-privilege basis.
  • Trusted infrastructure. We host with reputable providers that maintain strong physical and network security standards.
  • Monitoring. We monitor our systems for vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, and threats, and patch issues promptly.
  • Vendor diligence. Service providers are contractually required to protect any data they handle for us.

How long we keep it

  • Account data. Kept while your account is active, and deleted or anonymised after a reasonable period once it is closed.
  • Newsletter data. Kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from active mailing lists.
  • Analytics data. Retained in aggregated or de-identified form for limited periods to study trends.
  • Support records. Kept long enough to resolve your query and meet our legal obligations.
  • Legal retention. Some data may be kept longer where a law, regulation, or legitimate business need requires it.

In the event of a data breach

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will act promptly to contain it and will notify you and the relevant authorities, such as India's Data Protection Board, within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Section 07

International transfers & children

Cure.Care serves readers across India and around the world, so your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We also take special care to protect the privacy of children who may encounter our health content.

International data transfers

Our service providers and infrastructure partners may store or process data in locations outside your home country, including outside India, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom. When we transfer personal data across borders, we put appropriate safeguards in place so that it continues to receive a level of protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.

  • Standard contractual clauses or equivalent approved transfer mechanisms with our partners.
  • Adequacy assessments of the countries and providers we rely on.
  • Compliance with cross-border transfer rules under India's DPDP Act, the GDPR, and other applicable laws.

Children's privacy

Cure.Care is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age of consent set by their local law without verifiable parental consent. Under India's DPDP Act, this means we will not process a child's data without consent from a parent or lawful guardian.

  • We do not knowingly create accounts for, or send marketing to, children.
  • We do not engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.
  • If we learn that we have collected a child's data without proper consent, we will delete it promptly.
